Building Spelling Skills

Help your students increase spelling competency with the spelling lists taken from commonly used English words, commonly misspelled words, and words with common phonetic or structural elements The day-by-day format makes this great series simple to use.


On Monday, students spell and write the words on their list. Tuesday through Thursday, students interact with the words in a variety of formats. On Friday, they take a traditional spelling test that includes dictation sentences.


Each book contains 30 spelling units comprised of:

  • four reproducible student practice pages

  • a list of the most commonly used words in English
  • words frequently misspelled at each grade level
