I have the first grade edition and it is based on Guided Reading levels. How come the second grade book is based on Lexiles?

The material in our first grade edition does not contain long enough passages for Lexile to analyze and thus cannot be leveled by their standards.

While our first grade edition covers reading levels C-H, the older grade levels in our Read & Understand series have been Lexiled. Grade 2 will cover Lexile levels 330-480 while grade 3 will cover the 480-710 range. Since reading levels H and I fall on the cusp of this range I would suggest moving to grade 3.
