Suggested books too long for one-page review sheets
I really like the book report pages as they are clever but most of the suggested books to go along with the themes are novels. It is totally inappropriate to use a one-page book report for a novel! At the same time, I don't want to spend a lot of time looking up short stories to go with these because the book suggestions (should be) a valuable part of the book for me. But I homeschool so can't devote so much time to picking out accompanying texts as someone with 20 kids doing the same lesson.

Nice Change!
I have been using a book report form that wasn't quite working as well as I had hoped. This gives me a new way of asking the student reading skills needs to check their understanding of their books.

Good Starter for Book Reports and Review
I adapt the exercises to short stories, which makes it easier to pick out examples of figures of speech, and also keeps us from getting bogged down in a particular work. I also modify the templates to apply to specific works or concepts we are studying. The kids like it, and it provides guidance for me in preparing the lessons. A good buy!

Great goods!
I am teaching 3rd grade this year after teaching first grade for a few ears. Evan Moor books have enabled me to get back into the swing of things, while transitioning from one grade to the next.
