There's a really nice learning flow to this. My 6 and 8 year old were completely engaged with all of the activities. You will need to purchase a couple of recommended books to get a richer learning experience. Or do as I did and use it alongside another curriculum. One note: the space page cover is HUGE and very cumbersome. I'd recommend skipping it and/or making your own cover.
