Product reviews for Daily Math Practice, Grade 3 - Teacher's Edition, E-book

Has help my son tremendously.  He's in the forth grade, and his teacher has to go at the pace of the class and not the individual students.  Because of that, he goes to the 6th grade math class twice a week.

I use this in my Grade 1 class for morning work.  It's set up so the students can do this work independently which build confidence and skill.

I am interested to see how my students do this next year, since I have seen such improvement with the spiral review set up with the Daily Language Review.

My daughter's teacher uses this book and the instructions are so poorly worded that we waste a good deal of time simply trying to figure out what the problems wants her to accomplish. I do not recommend this as effective or useful.

I bought this a month ago and I already seen great improvement in my students' math work.

I always enjoy any Evan Moor products, especially the daily practice books. My only disappointment when I ordered the Math practice was that I thought by putting in the code that I would also receive the ebook, but I've only received the actual book itself.

This will be just what I need for my jump starters first thing in the morning! Plus it meets CCS!

I work with at-risk junior high and high school students. The content in the workbooks allows me to "circle back" to previous material to make sure we don't lose the skills used in previous years. It is short, quick, and straight to the point--exactly what my students enjoy

As a home schooling parent I do comprehensive math lessons daily with my child. This book "daily math practice" I don't think it should be used as the only learning tool. However, it works as a nice review for the math lessons that have already been taught. I like to use it as a testing review tool due to it does cover a good variety (i.e. word problems, addition, subtraction, counting, etc.)

Exactly what I was looking for! Presents problems in a variety of ways and includes all areas of mathematics for third grade. Excellent daily review!!

I have used Evan Moor products for a few years now and like this math practice book because I use it to get the students to thinking about math for the day. It has just enough problems of all kinds to get them to thinking.

Practical review for each grade level! Good for use as a warmup and don't have to create my own problems. Downfall is that is does not match perfectly with Common Core standards and topics are spiraled throughout so there are problems almost everyday that students may not know how to do until closer to the end of the year.

We bought this book and our 6 year old loves it and completes with confidence.

I bought this for my 3rd grader, who is advanced for his age.
It's perfect. It introduces some new information, but is not so challenging that he can't figure it out on his own.
It would be helpful if there was an answer key in the back so I would not have to grade it myself every day. Also, if a child were to get stuck on a problem, they would have the answer to reference.
The lack of an answer key is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars.

I bought the three e-books and had no problem to download them.
As expected, the books are execellent.

I bought this review book for my classes to have a daily math warm up for class.

Our 6th grade Team uses it for bell work or light homework. I love that every day there is a multi-step word problem

I've been using this with my students for the last 2 weeks and find it a great way to start my math block. The questions provide a quick review and the word problem facilitates problem solving. There are further challenging activities on every other page, which I plan on using with my students too.

I use it for my second grade daughter who excels in math. Format clear and easy to read. As usual, another Evan Moor hit in my household.

My only complaint is that you didn't keep the GREEN color for your math books for these new books. Also, I didn't realize I was getting Common Core books and had to order all new teacher books to go with them. Other then that, they are just as good as the former ones.

I bought this a month ago, and I am glad I did. I use Daily Math Practices as a math warm-up activity each day. The Math Practice book covers each CCSS daily. Some days the Math Practice guides my math lesson.

I'm a homeschool mom. The daily practice reinforces our other curriculum and helps us identify areas that need more practice.

This book is being used by a student who is entering 5th grade in the fall. It's great for summer - incorporates many skills and reviews concepts. Daily Math Practice is ideal for instruction, as well as, reinforcement of skills.

As a homeschooler, I've used the books 2 years and been happy, but after buying next year's was very disappointed to see how much they've changed to cover common core. I sent them back and went looking for the older editions (which are still around). If your purpose is standardized test prep, I'm sure they're still effective. There was quite a shift from drilling basic concepts to higher level skills like data analysis, etc. Much more advanced in general. Just not as effective for us anymore.

I use this product every day as Bell work. It is great for reviewing math concepts and it is also a useful classroom management strategy as it helps focus my students after a transition.

I used this product as an entry activity after recess and before math class.

I use this as a quick warm up daily, 5-10 minutes. I use a grade lower at the beginning of the year to refresh memories. I am able to walk around and see who is ahead of the game and who needs more refreshing. DMP is the perfect tool for a beginning of class routine.

Great resource to give students skill practice!! I do this daily and use it in small group and independent practice.

I use the product three to five times a week as an introductory activity for the beginning of the day. I find that it is a great way to get the students focused for the day.

I use the product every morning for morning work. I use it combined with a daily oral language. Keeps them busy in the morning and is easy to use.

I use this product as a daily practice, in a morning packet. We correct the problems together, as a class. Students are called up to the board to solve the problems. It's great because the answers to all of the problems are at the back of the book - this makes it easy for a teacher to do a quick check!

Works great as a review if the concepts have already been taught in your core curriculum.

At the beginning of the year, when my students enter the classroom, their Daily Math practice queations are waiting for them as part of their morning work. We then review them together as a class on the Whiteboard. The eBook is fantastic.

I use the book to pre review the concepts in summer break. So it helps put my kid ahead the game when school starts.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this product. I use it daily to hone math skills. It's quick and concise which gives me a quick assessment of who is understanding and who is not.

Great way to introduce high end concepts in math all year long.

I am a retired teacher after 33 years in an elementary school. I am now tutoring and I used it with a student who needed help with with his multiplication/division facts. He also needed building his confidence in the math area and this book was able to accomplish that goal.

Since my curriculum is limited when it comes to spiral review, I needed something to keep the concepts my students' learned continuously refreshed and not forgotten. Daily Math Practice was the answer to this huge problem. My students were able to remember previously learned concepts and build upon them throughout the year. It was a boost to their confidence and their test scores.

I use these math problems daily as the first activity in my Math lesson - they provide excellent review and practice of 4th grade Math skills.

This book provides an excellent supplement to our math series. Student test scores went up due to the additional practice!

Great Daily Review and Practice

I use the daily practices in resource room. It allows for refresher lessons on past concepts without using too much of the period.

I have loved all the ebooks that I have downloaded. I can project the pages onto the whiteboard, and we can work the problems on our own whitebords without running off classroom sets of worksheets!

I like using Daily Math Practice for morning work when the students come in first thing in the morning. We go over the problems later in math.

good daily review for reluctant student

Very good tool for a story math. Someone are already good with simple math problem will be able to use it more easily.

I use this as morning work and then check at the beginning of class. It is a wonderful way to quickly assess what the students know (or don't know) and see where we need more work.

My daughter now enjoys math a lot. she used to hate it. She finds it just o.k. It is not a lot for her to do. just a page a day. So simple! she sometimes does more than a page. This means a lot to us. She is self motivated in Math! I have introduced one lower grade than her grade.

I am a third grade teacher and I use the Daily Math Practice for review, practice, instruction and as an informative assessment tool. I love the variety of problems that are given each day. The skills and concepts included weekly correspond to the Common Core Curriculum. You can differentiate by utilizing books from the different grade levels to meet the needs and ability levels of all your students.

I use this daily in my classroom, and the students love it. The students complete it on their own, and then we go over it as a class. They are always engaged and excited to share their answers.

I have this for first and second grade as well. I have taught all of these grades over the years. I use them as a brain warm-up before I begin my math lesson each day. It hits just about all grade-level math concepts and skills and can be used to review, reteach, or introduce via a teachable moment. The children like them and I love them because practice makes better!

My child is doing daily practice(Math, Reading, Science, Words) everyday. Amount of practice in each day is not too much and not too small. It's good to make habit of studying. Not for advanced learner.

I use this as a homework routine. It's basically a variety of skills; some are rote, but others have problem solving and logic. It's not always going to go along with what you're teaching in class, but it is nice because it will touch on things they've covered before and keeps them practicing. I put a star next to problems I want them to attempt, even if it has not been covered in class yet. It takes the pressure off of the students to feel like they have to do something that has not been taught. For international school teachers, it is an American resource book. There are questions with American money and measurements. I either star those or cover them with a different problem.

great to aid school work

I use the Daily Math every morning. It's what the children do when they first come in. I love that it needs no explaining. They just get started and it gives me a few minutes to do my opening procedures. It's a great way to start our day. Later in the day we correct it together which is a good tool to help the children understand what they did wrong. I feel Daily Math has helped my students to do better on their assessments and testing.

I use this book along with other grade levels as warm-ups for my resource room math class. The kids don't know which level they have, they just know they have different problems. These books provide quick, easy reviews for the kids to continue practicing skills they have learned.

I like using this as a bell ringer on a daily basis. It helps drive my instruction for interventions and my daily lessons.

If you would like to supplement your child's math education at home, this is the book for you! My children do very well in math at school. Unfortunately, most math classwork is done either as a whole class or in very small independent groups using technology (without the teacher). I purchased the Evan-Moor math book that is a grade above my children's grade level in school. I love teaching my kids enrichment lessons at home.

My son looked forward to doing the math each day. It was short, and kept his math skills sharp in the summer.

I used the product in the summer. It was a wonderful review that didn't take too much time. By fall, my son's mind was still sharp, and we didn't have to review too much in starting the next grade.

I use this along with the Daily Language Review. It's a great transition and spiral review that is quick and easy. It is a daily routine that is challenging enough and doesn't take up too much time. Great buy!

I use this book everyday as morning work and then review during class.

I have purchase both the grade 5 and grade 6 versions of this product. I use the grade 6 with my advanced students to better prepare them for the state tests. I use the grade 5 for the lower level students in the class. I love the fact that it covers skills that the whole class may not have covered yet, and lets me teach those advanced students who are ready for the given skill.

Used this with my grand daughter for summer practice good review

There were probably a few too many activities for my kids, but I went up in grade level to find the appropriate content. In all, loved the format, the content, the activities. Will definitely get more of these.

I use this product as homework. Students do one each evening, two on Thursday, and we correct them as a large group on Friday. It covers the outcomes in all strands and students are reviewing important Math concepts throughout the year.

I use the DLR every day without fail and have for about four years. It is excellent for ELL's! I have my students do a lesson every morning and then we review the choices they made and why they made them. Responses like, "It didn't sound right" are not acceptable. I then teach the language rule. By the end of the year my students know what corrections need to be made and why? They also know the vocabulary of English, i.e. plural, context clues, similes, etc. The benefits of DLR also extend to student writing. I swear by the Daily Language Review!

As a parent who is not doing home schooling, I wanted a book that is fun so I could continue to help my kids learn at home without feeling the pressure of "homework"; I truly think that this is a good book for extra activities. I like the best its format as my kid is not getting bored doing the same thing all the time.

I use Daily Math Practice every day. Students receive it first thing in the morning. Later in the morning we go over the answers together discussing strategies as we go. I use this to supplement our math program and to help make certain that I am addressing common core state standards.

I use daily math for morning work when students first enter the classroom. Students are able to manage the work on their own or with peer assistance, freeing me up to get the day started, talk to parents, talk to students, etc. I have been using this all year and students' scores have gone up on their benchmark assessments and the summative chapter assessments.

The Daily Math Practice is being incorporated into classrooms throughout our K-5 school. We will use it as a supplement to standardized testing review and throughout the year. We intend to compare results on standardized testing to last year when we were NOT using this program. We anticipate great results!

My kids really enjoy using this product. Its helped them understand a lot of concepts that I felt were missing from their school curriculum.
