What is the consumer key and secret?

This is the authentication method for Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI). The consumer key identifies what applications you have a license to use, and the secret authenticates the end-user. Think of it as a "handshake" between the two systems to grant access to Evan-Moor content.

In order to integrate our interactive lessons with the LMS of your choice, you will need to contact Evan-Moor to receive a consumer key and secret.

Do your apps score student assignments?

Yes. Any activity that has an absolute answer is scored; Any open-response activity requires an evaluation, and manual scoring. Each activity is a fully encased application, and includes its own scoring mechanisms. We also provide suggested answers to check against.

Do you store student information or assignment data?

No. Student information and assignment data is stored within the learning management system. Evan-Moor simply hosts the applications for delivery.

Do your applications interact with the learner’s grade book in my LMS?

Yes. If you have configured the apps to interact with the your gradebook, the apps will place a score in the gradebook based on the points system you have established in an assignment.

How do you turn in an assignment?

Each application includes a turn-in button in the top right navigation. On turn-in, the assignment is scored, and the score (if configured) will be placed in the learner's grade book. The learner can choose to evaluate their answers first, or print out the assignment and evaluate on paper.

Can I print out assignments?

Yes. On print, the applications automatically creates a PDF to print out.

  • If you print before turning in an assignment, the learner can complete the assignment on paper.
  • If you print after turning in an assignment, the learner's answers, plus all suggested answers, will print out for evaluation.

What operating systems do you support?

The operating system requirements are dictated by the learning management system of your choice. Our applications are operating-system and device agnostic.
