English language learners often have difficulty effectively communicating and learning in their new environments because they don’t understand the primary language spoken.

The thought process is immersing a student in an English learning environment will help them to learn both a new language as well as the academic concepts. However, individualized learning is still necessary especially in school districts where an ELL teacher is not on staff. Evan-Moor has been helping to educate children for more than 30 years, offering a multitude of research-based educational resources including English language learning materials for the elementary grades. With Evan-Moor’s Take-It-To-Your-Seat Language Centers, educators can easily individualize instruction for their English language learning students.

Take-It-To-Your-Seat Language Centers is available for kindergarten through fifth grade. Each grade level offers a print and e-book format, allowing educators to find the best fit for their ELL students. Take-It-To-Your-Seat offers more than 10 language-oriented centers that focus on Common Core English standards as well as teacher support pages, student reproducible pages and an answer key.

Each ELL language centers can be used individually or in a small group setting. The centers are simple to assemble and also include a written practice. Take-It-To-Your-Seat centers are hands-on and also include a follow-up assignment. The follow-up can be done in class or at home. For ELL students, the follow-up activity can be used as an assessment to see what language concepts have been mastered and which ones require reinforcement.
