Learning to read nonfiction effectively is one of the most important survival skills students can develop. This book will help students learn to find, record, organize, and evaluate information while practicing such skills as reading for details, finding the main idea, sequencing, drawing conclusions, and summarizing. All the reading samples needed to practice the skills are provided. The book is divided into five sections. Each section contains a table of contents, teaching ideas, student practice pages, and "challenge" activities.
