I use the DGP to support middle school students with intellectual disabilities in a gen ed classroom which uses a grade level DGP. It was the perfect solution: it looks like the work peers are doing but more tangible for my students.

This not only helps in social studies but in the other subjects where they have to use captions, pictures or other parts to help them understand a story or reading.

Why would you have the weekly maps in the back of the books away from the questions which are in the front?   The kids have to flip back and forth vs having the maps right by the questions like in the teacher manual.  
So the weekly questions are pages 1-72 then the weekly maps are pages 73-143.  

I like the content but not how this student practice book is set up.

I was very happy to find how easy it was for me to add this teacher's book with worksheets to my geography course that I teach to my homeschooler. She finds it engaging, and it seems to help her quite a bit with topics that she was having troubles in before. I am a happy customer!

The book looks fantastic! It's just what we needed.

My copies come out so much nicer printing them out directly to my school copier, then they ever were from my paper bound book. These are great map/geography process skills that my students must learn per our state standards! With a quick 10-15 mins mini-lesson at the beginning of the week, the students can then complete/practice the work on their own. This has helped me determine which students to work with in small groups that still weren't getting it. Also, it's nice that itbis broken down to 2 questions a day, which is helpful for teaching students how to pace themselves if you do weekly stations or menus.

I am a homeschool mom of 2 children (3rd and 5th grade). I bought one Teacher's edition and added a student practice book. Both of my children have done a few basic things in Geography and this 5th grade level book works out perfectly for both of them. The only downside is the teacher's version is the only one that has the vocabulary words so we have to share when reviewing those.

Such a treasure to have to teach geography in a fun way! My students can't wait to practice each day.

I bought this to use with my Fifth grade class....love how I can teach the lesson and then the students can practice the skill throughout the week.

I like the format and information of many of the Evan Moore workbooks. I like the e versions - much quicker access without having to store multiple workbooks. I only wish they were a little more common core aligned. There are a few topics not addressed in my standards. Overall, quite good - I continue to buy EM books in different subjects as need arises.

My six year old enjoys doing the activities in the Daily Geography book. It's a great way to cover daily topics as a good review. I like how it has ways to cover each day to engage the child.

I bought Daily Geography 6 and 4 at the beginning of this school year. I bought it to supplement their hisorty. We are on week 16 and I couldn't be happier. They both really like it and have learned quite bit from just 10-15 min a day. In fact, we like it so much that I purchased daily paragraph reading as well....still waiting for those to arrive.

As a homeschooler, I use this product to run quickly through geography K-6 as this is not my daughter's favorite subject. We changed it to 'weekly' geography though, so we can handle one chapter or two every week in one hour.

I love how I get the guidelines for what to explain. This makes it all seem like I'm just casually telling something. The questions afterwards are solved without any comments. Before we know it, the hour has passed by.

This suits very much for children who are not interested in geography. It gives enough information, but not too much. It also doesn't handle 'stupid or boring things' like a lot of geography books tend to do.

Best layout, clarity of illustrations, and appropriate font size for children.

The lessons are broken out nicely and it comes together well.

I purchased Daily Geography practice as a bellringer/warmup at the beginning of class. I have used it one week. It is meeting my expectations with my students.

The Daily Geo book provides opportunities for daily practice of geography skills, reading informational text, and research of additional social studies concepts. My students love it!

I have used this book for 3 years. It really helps my students understand the different terms used to describe geography terms and gives them experience reading different kinds of maps.

I think it is a good daily work book for 2nd graders.

I love the format of this series! It is so teacher friendly, and the kids love that it is quick and easy to follow. They also like the weekly challenge questions. The children are picking up the necessary skills in just a few minutes a day, which is easy to fit into a busy schedule.

My kid and I like these daily serial workbooks. It gives a week plan to do your work. For Daily Geography Practice: I like the questions all related with the maps, but if each day has 4-5 more Multipal choice questions for practice that would be awesome.

This product is very comprehensive. It adds to what we have to teach in our regular curriculum.

My children have both improved in their ability to read and understand maps and globes and find their way around while using a map. This is an important skill even in this age of GPS.

This is used in a multi-grade special education classroom. With enhancements and accommodations, it is a useful tool for differentiation.

I use this for morning work as kids come in to school. I want them to do this independently, and it works nicely. The lesson pages tend to have more information than needed at times, which can confuse students. But in all, I am happy with it and will continue to use it.

Excellent way to incorporate some geography into our studies. It has given my children exposure to a variety of maps and geography related topics. I will definitely be using it next year.

This product is great to use as a warm-up and daily review.

This past school year I game mini lessons on how to read maps and how geography plays a major role on our every day life. The maps are easy to follow thus allowing the students to comprehend the task at hand.

After two weeks of working together the children were ready to do Daily Geography independently. I was there for help and to expose a full map from time to time. Children who struggled met with me but less and less as the year went on. By third quarter I was using this as an assessment tool and actually gave a Geography grade. Parents really were amazed at how challenging the work was.

I use this book to supplement my social studies/geography core curriculum on a daily basis. My students become more acquainted with their own community, state, country, and continent, and therefore gain a better perspective on the world they live in. The glossary of words and background information is extremely helpful to me when presenting the lesson.

I've used DG with my upper elementary homeschooled kids to supplement geography skills that they've learned in history. The daily format makes it easy to work in to our morning, and the comprehensive scope lets me know we haven't missed anything. In a homeschool context, I'd recommend only buying the student workbook, unless you really want the answer keys. My kids were able to do well without formal instruction for every lesson. As a homeschooling family, we have enjoyed using Daily Geography Practice. It is a great overview that introduces key concepts in a simple, easy to use format. This product requires little prep time. It can be taught individually or to a group. Students can do the related questions on a daily basis or all in one shot. My kids always like the challenge question at the end of the study. You can pick and chose topics and round it out with further study or simply go through the entire book. Worth the money.

I use this product as a weekly assignment and have students complete it in one seating. This product is a good supplement to textbook material. I use the e book to project the material on the smart board.

A great geography supplement! My kids enjoy this and never complain about doing it! The lessons are clear and easy to follow.

I use this product as well as the other grades for a quick, daily review. The kids look forward to doing their geography and I like all of the maps!

The level 1 book begins with a map of a single room in a house - showing that a map can be made of any place. Map skills are taught in progressive steps, reinforced by repetition and coloring activities. It could easily be used as a supplement, but works just as well on its own - we do not feel that we are lacking, without any additional course material.

I like the books, I just wish I didn't always have to get a set of 5, then I have to find others to use the rest of the books.

I have used this product as a morning work assignment and as a 5-min. social studies activity when time is pressing. Students find the activity fun and students of all academic levels can feel successful when they complete the questions.

Good for homeschool groups

I use it for our third grade classes for our weekly map activity. Short and sweet, but I like the variety of activities and all the activities cover all the standards we must cover.

great series to use

I am a homeschooling mom and all 3 of my children are using this program. My only real complaint is that the student workbooks only come in a packet of 5 (to be sold to school educators, not homeschoolers). Luckily I was able to sell the extra workbooks to other homeschoolers. But if Evan Moor would sell the workbooks indvidually, they would open themselves up to selling these to the homeschooling community. Other than that, this program is great! It takes geopgraphy in bite sized, managable chunks for daily exposure. I plan to use this program all the way through.
