Linda Hanger Appointed President of Evan-Moor Educational Publishers
Hanger to lead growing company to another 25 years of 'Helping Children Learn'
MONTEREY, CALIF. (Jan. 10, 2005) - Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, a leading publisher of learning materials for kindergarten through sixth grade, announces that Linda Hanger has been named the company's president. As Evan-Moor surpasses the 25-year milestone of creating activities and lesson plans that support basic skills, Hanger's expertise and leadership in the publishing industry will help the company continue to meet the needs of 21st century educators and their students.

Hanger joins Evan-Moor following an extensive tenure as president and CEO of Nolo, the nation's leading legal self-help book and software publisher. In her role as chief executive, Hanger's management responsibilities ranged from finance, sales, and marketing to development, production, and operations.
"The resources published by Evan-Moor are the materials that teachers rely on day-to-day in the classroom," said Hanger. Hanger joins Evan-Moor at the company headquarters in Monterey, Calif., where she will lead a team of over 60 employees. Bill Evans, Evan-Moor CEO, will focus on growing the company's reach, including international sales. Evans, along with the company's other two co-founders, Joy Evans and Jo Ellen Moore, remain the creative impetus behind Evan-Moor's success.
Prior to her 12-year tenure as president and CEO of Nolo, Hanger held senior management and development positions at M&T Publishing, Inc. in Redwood City, Calif., and Osborne/McGraw Hill in Berkeley, Calif. She earned her bachelor's degree in social welfare from San Francisco State University.
Other recent additions to the Evan-Moor family include Trisha Roberts, marketing director, and Jean Miller, national sales director.
